Have you gotten upset with anyone? I have. My children. In the interest of seeing grow and mature well, as parents we take on the stress of seeing them through life's journey. There are so many decision points and so many external factors that you do not control. I have therefore learned that prayer is most important you can do. I need to let go and let God.
Jeremiah 12:1
Righteous are You, O Lord, when I plead with You;
Yet let me talk with You about Your judgments.
Why does the way of the wicked prosper?
Why are those happy who deal so treacherously?
Jeremiah pours out his grievances before God about how the wicked seem to prosper against His people. But God said that they stopped being His people because of all they have done. Baal is mentioned again here. But after all that, God still returns to bless them and take care of them as mentioned at the end of the chapter.
Jeremiah 12:15
Then it shall be, after I have plucked them out, that I will return and have compassion on them and bring them back, everyone to his heritage and everyone to his land.
This reminds me of our earthly father. No matter what we do, God is still our heavenly Father. Ready to take us back if we would turn from our wicked ways, humble ourselves and pray. Cry out to God and seek His forgiveness. He is ready to forgive. The scars of sin may remain but God is ready to continue His relationship with us into a new season.
I am thankful for a forgiving God but I must stop falling down and keep getting scars.
Father, help me!
