There is still a greater blessing

Have you tried my favorite remedy and stay well "tonic"? You guessed it. Apple Cider Vinegar has been my daily thing for many years. In my days as a student in Toronto I used to experience a sore throat at numerous times. One day the doctor said why don't I take mouthwash. It helped some, but then I discovered saltwater. Eventually someone showed me Apple Cider Vinegar and now this keeps me from the doctors for any cold or flu. What a blessing!

Jeremiah 11:5 says, "that I may confirm the oath that I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as at this day.” Then I answered, “So be it, Lord.”"

Land flowing with milk and honey. A Jewish rabbi explains it well here <click here>. Overflowing in economic wealth would be another way of seeing it in a contemporary basis. Many are jealous of the success of the Jews in commerce and many other sectors. A friend of mine is discovering some unique elements in the Jewish education system that also contributes to this. Why? Because God is fulfilling His covenant with Abraham but not without chastisement.

He has also promised an extension of His blessings through them to the rest of the world. And you see that not only in the technologies and services we use, but in the life of Jesus Christ, God coming in the person of a Jew. It is interesting that the Jews are hated and admired at the same time. And this particular "Jew" is also mentioned in the scriptures of a faith where a majority seems to want to annihilate them from the face of the earth. That aside what are we missing?

God has promised blessings for the Jews and the rest of us. Let us pursue God and put aside those things that hinder our pursuit of Him. I will remain single-minded in my pursuit of God.

Father, I am pursuing a wonderful and deeper relationship with You so as not to shortchange myself, my family and those around me the fullest extent of Your blessing.

Seek a good personal testimony

In the same way you can have professional wedding planners, you also have funeral planners. I know some of you who are superstitious will be saying "touch wood". I have written something on this before and you can read it here. Have you planned your funeral? I have not and neither did Abraham plan his wife's funeral until her death. Don't get me wrong. Nothing wrong with planning your funeral but there is something interesting here in this chapter. Rags to riches need something else

Can the impossible become possible? I have read many stories of rags to riches and have been naturally impressed by everything that has been said. It required great persistence, hardwork, endurance and something else. That something else is what differentiates between one rags to riches story, and the many other rags to rags stories. Over 30 years ago I was contemplating my plans for the future while helping a dear Brother in the Lord do some minor repairs around the house. Nothing serious was moving in my applications for jobs in Canada or the US. At a Monday night College and Career Bible Study at Stone Church , Toronto, I got my direction through this passage and some other information God placed there that night. And so within a week I bought my one way ticket to Malaysia. That was a significant move for me as a 23 year old. You will look good

In today's world many are not happy with how they look naturally. They do everything possible to get it "right". Some of these include almost permanent changes that affects their bodies for the rest of their lives. This includes tattoos. I am not going to saying anything about this but we need to be careful about the agenda of people that do these things. There is something better. Revelation 22:4, They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. How God's name is going to be on our foreheads, I am not sure. But it would be like wearing a uniform of an organization that you are very proud of, and want to be associated with publicly. There will also be the tree of life. There will be no more pain. You are powerless

Years ago I watched a movie that played out the end times based on Revelations. It was quite dramatic and scary, but had a happy ending. This is what has been planned from the beginning of time. This chapter in Revelations gives a quick snapshot of the end. Revelation 20:4, And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. It did not occur to me until much later in my Christian life that there will be a thousand years when followers of Christ will reign on earth.
