What is important and urgent? Do it first! That is the rallying cry in most organizations, and in many homes. But we always slide back to other things. We procrastinate. One of the things that keeps me corrected on things to be done is these daily times with God when I read the Word, journal and pray for the day, especially for the people in the frontlines, ministries and churches around the world. Why? It sets my mind on things of God and this guides me in my daily pursuits. Jesus seeks for us to get our priorities right. Luke chapter 12 covers many practical aspects of life. Luke 12:29-31 And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. Fear God not man.
