Children somehow magically connect with their parents. They probably grew up in the mother's womb hearing the mother's voice primarily and a significant time with the father's. This is God's design for a family. We are wired to grow up and connect in this manner. A dysfunctional family will not provide such a connection or space. However, as the child grows up there could be new influences in their lives that takes them away from this safe and loving growing up environment.
