Wrongly perceived reality can have dire consequences, especially if it has something to do with God's instructions and leading. Our human tendency is to listen to things that are pleasing to our ears. Anything contrary to our belief system or understanding is rejected. The people of Israel were no different. Israel was filled with false prophets that were probably influenced or directed by the evil one. Micah spoke against them.
