I used to be in the news media, and we continuously look for what we call newsworthy stories to publish (internet) or produce (TV or radio). It is not easy and because we operate in a highly regulated and/or listened/watched industry we always need to verify our information. It is not good if we put out false information. Paul was anxious to know the true state of the church in Thessalonica.
