You would have heard it said, "An eye for an eye, A tooth for a tooth". Jesus said it in Matthew 5:38 . This is so natural for us since we always want to get back at somebody. I have to confess that I have done this some years ago. Yes, I have and I am not proud of it. I was driving to a meeting in Malaysia and was behind a slow car and so had little choice but to drive slowly. As the car pulled off the road to park, I was going to proceed on straight. However the car behind me was a little impatient and the driver gave a hard horn. The vengeance in me caused me to retaliate with the same. My immediate reaction was to justify my actions but I immediately felt bad. Pray that everyone reached their destination safely.
