I am on His Side

Sibling rivalry has always been there through the ages. They can make up and be good friends as they grow older.  However, sometimes a rivalry started as children can extend into adulthood. It serves no purpose and brings harm. There was one ancient rivalry that cut across the generations and exists till today. This is between Jacob and Esau. Twin brothers that contended with each other from the womb. Obadiah 1:15 For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near; As you have done, it shall be done to you; Your reprisal shall return upon your own head. Obadiah, made up of one chapter, is all about Esau's descendants. Perhaps the reason for the Lord to specifically pick out this people and have the prophet Obadiah speak out to them is because He wanted to show that Israel's blessings were confirmed. A beautiful home awaits you

Nothing beats the beauty of a freshly renovated home with new furnishings, especially when you have been living in a dirty and broken home where nothing works.  The doors creak, the carpet is torn and smells.  The windows are dirty and musty.  The bathroom is moldy and plumbing leaking.  The roof and ceiling is broken in places.  On a larger and more beautiful scale, God brings restoration for the people of Israel. Ezekiel 36:35-36: So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’ Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken it, and I will do it.
