It can be very depressing to see a losing team, especially if it is a team that you are supporting. Some can take it so personally that they go to extreme measures to mourn the loss. The team could have worked very hard, but not hard enough. The tactics and plans could have been well rehearsed, but the other team had better ideas and/or better execution. Some would attribute their loss to "luck". Ultimately, God is in charge.
Isaiah 15:3
In their streets they will clothe themselves with sackcloth;
On the tops of their houses
And in their streets
Everyone will wail, weeping bitterly.
The Moabites whose territory was modern day southern Jordan were one of those kingdoms that came against Israel. The entire chapter is devoted to show how the Moabites would cry out to their gods till their cry is heard far away when they are overcome. Indeed those that oppose God will face His wrath that was prepared for Satan.
Like the Moabites, Satan must have felt totally defeated and cried out (to whom I am not sure) when Jesus won victory over death and was risen from the dead on a Sunday morning that we remember today as Easter Sunday.
There are many today that deny the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. However, it is a recorded historical fact based on the series of tests normally used to validate a written or oral piece of information.
"Christ is risen" is the traditional greeting on this day and people would respond, "He is Risen indeed". Yes, we can celebrate because Jesus has overcome death. And we have God's salvation as a result. God loved us so much that He gave Himself to suffer and die on the cross so that we do not die but have eternal life (Refer to John 3:16).
Thank you Father.
