Are you fond of miracles? I am. That is how God demonstrates His presence in our situations. The Thai cave rescue is nothing short of a miracle. Many around the world were praying and God intervened. Elisha the prophet had incredible favor from God.
2 Kings 4:2,So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
This lady had need for money to pay creditors. She was faced with the prospect of her sons being sold into slavery. Elisha simply does some multiplication work with God's intervention. The chapter continues with other miracles, with a son being born in old age, the same son being raised from the dead, and a little bit of food multiplying to feed a hundred.
2 Kings 4:43, But his servant said, “What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?”
He said again, “Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says the Lord: They shall eat and have some left over.’ ”
Wow, this is a small prelude of the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5,000.
Father, it is not by might, nor by power, but by your spirit. Help me move in accordance with your plans under the direction and power of your Holy Spirit.
