One of the definitions of history is, the whole series of past events connected with someone or something. The existence of King Solomon and his actions through time are clearly documented in history. He had a great start. At the dedication of the three temple that he built, they moved the ark into the temple.
1 Kings 8:9, Nothing was in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
The rest of the chapter contains a record of the proceedings of the dedication of the temple. This included a repeat of the covenant given by the Lord. This covenant is very clear and is emphasized during the dedication. There is no question. No doubt about the reality of God and His purpose for mankind. This was history created not for the people of Israel alone, but for the whole world.
Father, I cry out for the many that do not know you. They must reconcile with you. There is no time to waste. I woke up with a dream of this phrase this morning. Yes, there is no time to waste. We need to eradicate gospel poverty.
