It is always good to get skilled individuals to get work done. You want it done right the first time. In a factory you always have the challenge of quality control. It only takes one person in a factory employing hundreds or thousands to cause a problem and impact the global reputation of a brand. King Solomon did not want to take a chance with the building of the temple. He hired a skilled bronze worker.
1 Kings 7:13-14, Now King Solomon sent and brought Huram from Tyre. He was the son of a widow from the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a bronze worker; he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill in working with all kinds of bronze work. So he came to King Solomon and did all his work.
Solomon knew what kind of skill he needed and the job got done. We also need to learn from Huram. He had to make a decision in the past to learn from his father. He had to invest time and energy to learning to do it right. Bronze is not light. Huram would have had to fight long hours and tiredness. But, he succeeded.
Father, I need to improve myself in a few areas. Help me to give priority to this, no matter what the cost.
