Last night I was with a few friends around the dining table and I was recounting my journey of faith. Looking back I saw the complex and rich journey I have had. Thinking about it this morning, I don't think God is done with me. He is only moving me to the next thing. David had a similar experience in his life journey and a major shift happened here.
2 Samuel 21:15, When the Philistines were at war again with Israel, David and his servants with him went down and fought against the Philistines; and David grew faint.
David no longer went to war because he was physically not able to. His people took over and emulated his success in killing giants. Every leader needs to go through this. They need to know when it is time to delegate, and sometimes move out of the way so that younger and more capable leaders can take over.
Father, thank you for your wisdom on leadership. Help me hear You for each and every season of my life.
