When you are in an extremely distressing situation it would be very understandable if you cried out for help. People may think you are mad, but when they see your situation, some will make the effort to help. David did the same to God.
2 Samuel 22:7, In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry entered His ears.
Reading this chapter, I am reminded that crying out to God should be a given. After all, He is our Father and He is listening at all times. David knew that God listened. Our problem is that we think He is not listening. When we are not delivered immediately we have this impression that He is not listening. We need to listen. Listen well.
Father, you are the great listener. Help me to listen like you.
