Are you in a hurry? Sometimes when we are faced with an opportunity we rush to grab them. However, there may be a need for preparation. How do you prepare and for how long? Joshua was not anxious about this. He had the promised land before him to takeover after he crossed the Jordan. Instead, he had those born in the wilderness circumcized. They conducted Passover. They started to eat the produce of the land. And, he waited on the Lord.
Joshua 5:12, Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land; and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year.
What a change. God was preparing these people for a new phase. They were to work through this step by step. No hurry. And, Joshua encountered God (I believe so because the person said this is holy ground). Joshua asked whose side are you on, and He answered, neither. Joshua was to just follow.
Father, let me not be rushed. I will wait on you.
