Be ready for the impossible

Have you heard of unexplained supernatural calamities. Many have occurred over the years. These have impacted the people of the area where it happened. One that sticks out greatly in my lifetime is the earthquake of December 24, 2004 that hit off the coast of Sumatra and killed between 230,000 and 280,000 people. Why did it happen? Wake up call? Joshua and the people of Israel saw God intervene in two ways in their campaign besides how He delivered the various kings into their hands.

Joshua 10:11, And it happened, as they fled before Israel and were on the descent of Beth Horon, that the Lord cast down large hailstones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword.

Joshua 10:13, So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the people had revenge upon their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.

Is God able to do that today? Certainly! God is able and we need to be ready to see God move supernaturally beyond our thinking or imagination. His might is with us. He is ready to show up and show off. However, we must live our lives in holy obedience to Him. God's will is always done. In the midst of adversity He is there. He gives victory in different ways.

Father, I can never out think you. Let me just be thankful that you are by my side ready to do the impossible.

Heavenly courage and capability

Anybody reading this belongs to the military or was in the military? I commend you if you were. Whatever reason you were part of the military, it takes great courage to perform your role. "Being Ready" cannot wait

Ready for the end of the world? Ready for death? I am sure many reading this are indifferent to this question. You don't care. But if you care about what you eat each day. You care about who you meet. You care about your health. And perhaps, you even care about people, your community and/or the environment. Then, you are avoiding the question about being ready for the most important event of your life, because you don't know the answer. John writes about this in Revelations. A promise that demonstrates great interest and care in our well being

We commonly call someone who has helped us significantly with something or a good person, "You are an Angel". I am reminded of the angels God sends to be around us for our protection and to carry out God's instructions for our well-being.
