It is time to get first hand information. There are too many lies on the internet. There have been so much of that in the different social media channels that it promotes unsettling behavior among significant groups of people. Rumors and incorrectly presented information that leads to uncivil behavior only demonstrates the poor integrity of both the promoter of the information and the recipient. The operators of these social media channels can only do so much. Given the large revenues earned from "sponsored" content, this could also be in the way of receiving unvarnished facts. Jesus faced this even before TV and radio, and of course before the internet.
Matthew 11:18-19
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.
The word "children" is sometimes mentioned as "works". Look at the works! Look at Jesus' works of miracle. The disciples. John the Baptist. Jesus speaks to whole cities in this chapter because He was truly becoming "the talk of the town". The works were great and we submit to the power and reality of the gospel, and its power for our lives. You can malign a person's name but you cannot dispute the facts of the wonderful outcomes from this person. The disconnect is caused by individuals who have an unclean personal agenda. Let the facts speak, check it out for yourself, verify them, and make an informed and wise decision.
Matthew 11:4-6
Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”
Father, I am the outcome of the reality of the gospel. This was because I made an informed and wise decision many years ago. Thank you Lord.
