In spite of the challenges today, a great future awaits

The days are going by so quickly and before you know it, it is December and Christmas is less than 30 days away, and another year is coming to an end, and you are faced with another year of either challenges, opportunities or perhaps regrets. No, Jesus never looked back. He looked forward. When He shared again that He was going to be killed and arise after 3 days, the disciples only focused on His coming death and were sad. They did not catch the second part of His statement. Even though Jesus was transfigured and Peter, James and John saw it all, they had little faith.

Matthew 17:22-23

Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up." And they were exceedingly sorrowful.

We have a tendency to focus on the here and now. The struggles, the challenges and the regrets. No, there is a new thing coming and we need to keep moving forward to receive it. Yes, we may learn from the past but our God has crafted a great future and we need to just follow His leading. Yes, time and tide wait for no man, but our God has plans to prosper us. We need to just make the right decisions.

Father, the great God, I put my trust in you because You have demonstrated that You love me and care for my future.

Heavenly courage and capability

Anybody reading this belongs to the military or was in the military? I commend you if you were. Whatever reason you were part of the military, it takes great courage to perform your role. "Being Ready" cannot wait

Ready for the end of the world? Ready for death? I am sure many reading this are indifferent to this question. You don't care. But if you care about what you eat each day. You care about who you meet. You care about your health. And perhaps, you even care about people, your community and/or the environment. Then, you are avoiding the question about being ready for the most important event of your life, because you don't know the answer. John writes about this in Revelations. There is a silver lining

The phrase "silver lining" is used when you want to emphasize the hopeful side of a situation that might seem gloomy on the surface. The origin of the phrase seems to be John Milton's 1634 poem "Comus," which includes the line, "Was I deceived? or did a sable cloud/Turn forth her silver lining on the night?" ( Source ). Be unconventional; it is okay!

In every society and organization there are cultural norms. There are practices that are observed and are deemed normal. Anything else would be unacceptable and may cause the person committing this to be taken out. In a religious context many of these may have no relevance to the practice of the faith. Keep to the Original

When you buy things, a branded piece of garment mostly gives you an assurance that it meets a certain set standard of quality. It allows you to decide whether paying a certain price is worth the money. A cheap brand attracts a low value, while an expensive one probably has the design and other qualities that are worth paying for. I have my favorite brands not because I am brand conscious, but because I want to be assured of the value experience. I sometimes try new brands, but as a test. However, I am wary of "copycats". I prefer to stay with the ORIGINAL.
