Christmas helps us remember the greatest gift

In one of my previous posts I mentioned about the great father we need to be. Today as I enter into the New Testament, we read about another father, Father Abraham who is sometimes called the Father of Nations because he is the channel of blessing to all nations. The generations were mapped out so well. The genealogy is documented clearly for all to see and research. Many prophecies are fulfilled as Jesus comes to us in human form.

Matthew 1:21-23

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins. So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

The prophet mentioned here is Isaiah and he prophesied it 700 years earlier. It was fulfilled with great accuracy. The season is coming in December to remember Jesus' birth. In case you forgot what that is, it is Christmas. Yes, it is a season of gifting to remember the greatest gift. Jesus Christ! It is a season of celebration because the Christ is born for our salvation. Do celebrate this Christmas as His child born again. Christmas is waiting to be celebrated in your home.

Father, thank you Lord for the greatest gift of all!

Are you ready for miracles? Are there things going on in your life that can only be changed or improved by a miracle? We sometimes come to the end of ourselves and do not know where to turn. We become desperate. You don't have to. Believe in the God of the Universe who created the heaven and the earth. We do have someone to turn to in times of need. 276 Safe - An appropriate headline for a miracle

Are we there yet? I can just hear my children asking, when they were young. When you are on a long journey, or even a short one, children get restless about being confined to a car during a journey. I do not blame them because they have limited or no historical experience to rely on. Heavenly courage and capability

Anybody reading this belongs to the military or was in the military? I commend you if you were. Whatever reason you were part of the military, it takes great courage to perform your role. Human sacrifices still exist

I have been reflecting on the practice in many cultures of having human sacrifices for any significant event or endeavor. Children and sometimes adults go missing. Later you find them dead with evidence of them being used for some kind of ritual killing. The approach of using blood sacrifice is not new and existed in old testament times. It was to be used to make atonement for the sins of the people of Israel. God instituted it starting with the consecration of Aaron and his sons. This would allow for God to dwell in their midst. Exodus 29:45-46, I will dwell among the children of Israel and will be their God. And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them up out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them. I am the Lord their God. You will look good

In today's world many are not happy with how they look naturally. They do everything possible to get it "right". Some of these include almost permanent changes that affects their bodies for the rest of their lives. This includes tattoos. I am not going to saying anything about this but we need to be careful about the agenda of people that do these things. There is something better. Revelation 22:4, They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. How God's name is going to be on our foreheads, I am not sure. But it would be like wearing a uniform of an organization that you are very proud of, and want to be associated with publicly. There will also be the tree of life. There will be no more pain. No more sorrow. God's presence will be so tangible that we can see His face.
