Priorities are all relative, but the most important is LIFE

What are your chief concerns at this time?  Building a career?  A comfortable house with all the amenities of daily living taken care of? A wonderful spouse? Nurturing the young ones so that they grow up to be successful?  As you reflect on the daily issues of life, there are others who are not sure if they would be alive tomorrow.  They literally live under the gun.  In remote villages and towns they can be attacked at any time.  Have you ever lived like this before?  The people of Israel have experienced this.

Ezekiel 39:11-13
“It will come to pass in that day that I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea; and it will obstruct travelers, because there they will bury Gog and all his multitude. Therefore they will call it the Valley of Hamon Gog. For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land. Indeed all the people of the land will be burying, and they will gain renown for it on the day that I am glorified,” says the Lord GOD.

Imminent danger but God is bringing a horrific end to the enemies. Wow it says it will take 7 years to clear everything. They will be so many dead bodies that it will take 7 months to clear them in the first instance. This is the R-rated part of the story. The G-rated, general audience, part says that the people of Israel will no longer be held captives in the various lands. They will return and be blessed by God.

Many speak enviously about the people of Israel but they forget the many prophecies that point to the fact that the nations (that is the rest of us) will be blessed as well through Israel. God has chosen to use Israel as His channel of blessings for the whole world. Look at the many of the inventions of the world. I believe they have the single largest share of the Nobel prize awards given annually of all communities. So don't pick a fight with them. Look at how you can work with them and bless them and be blessed. Stop being irrational. History shows for itself.

I have many good Jewish friends and I will continue to pray that they realize the Messiah has come from their midst (the most significant blessing through them to the nations) and they need to accept Him.

Father, I pray none of my friends will miss out on eternal LIFE.

276 Safe - An appropriate headline for a miracle

Are we there yet? I can just hear my children asking, when they were young. When you are on a long journey, or even a short one, children get restless about being confined to a car during a journey.  I do not blame them because they have limited or no historical experience to rely on. Are you ready for miracles? Are there things going on in your life that can only be changed or improved by a miracle? We sometimes come to the end of ourselves and do not know where to turn. A promise that demonstrates great interest and care in our well being

We commonly call someone who has helped us significantly with something or a good person, "You are an Angel".  I am reminded of the angels God sends to be around us for our protection and to carry out God's instructions for our well-being. Many of us may wish that our eyes would be opened to see the angels of God around us. Zechariah speaks of seeing angels over Jerusalem. Indeed Jerusalem has a special place in God's heart. Zechariah 2:3-5 And there was the angel who talked with me, going out; and another angel was coming out to meet him, who said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying: ‘Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it. Marriage is permanent

I am in the last chapter of the Song of Solomon and it continues in intensity about the value of love. It is priceless. It is equated to a mother's love in some sense. Money cannot buy it. The Song of Solomon 8:2 I would lead you and bring you Into the house of my mother, She who used to instruct me. I would cause you to drink of spiced wine, Of the juice of my pomegranate. If your interest is temporary illicit love, stop because it cannot be bought or earned. It is a God thing. Our relationship with our beloved wife is like a mother's. Do not take it lightly as it is a new permanent relationship. Don't enter it in haste. Consider it carefully and once the relationship is consummated it is permanent. Stand and raise your hands

I apologize if I offend anyone, but I feel free to lift up my hands when I worship the Lord.  I would do it while standing up.  It is only natural when you are worshiping the Almighty God, creator of heaven of earth.  He is after all the God loves me and redeemed me by dying on the dying on the cross.  The Psalmist agrees with me on this one. Psalm 134:1-2 Behold, bless the Lord, All you servants of the Lord, Who by night stand in the house of the Lord! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the Lord. There are key elements to be observed here in this chapter being shared by the Psalmist. The familiar ones are us blessing God, doing it with hands raised, we doing this as servants of God. But a new element that I did not see before is doing all this at night, though it may have been said in other parts of the Word.
