Ever experienced the total eclipse of the sun? It is quite spectacular and eerie at the same time. Everything becomes dark and quiet for a short time. Nature does not know what is going on and it responds as though night has come. I was once in St Charles, near Chicago, in the early 90's to experience this. While we stood there and saw the eclipse form, we were told not to look directly into the sun, otherwise we may injure our eyes. When Moses came down from the mountain with the 10 commandments, the people of Israel could not look into Moses face and they had to put a veil over his face.
Wow! Moses encountered God so close that he reflected the presence of God. So intense that people could not look directly at him. Have you encountered God that close?
You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
Our glory is written on our hearts. No one should be able to miss the glory of God in our hearts. That is a huge testimony of God's goodness to us. People may also find it so intense like the sun. However, in this case, it will not injure you. It will give you a new understanding of the working of God in a person that has received the inner transformation of the Holy Spirit. Do not make the same mistake that the people of Israel made. They did not want to meet God and they sent Moses with Joshua. Moses shone the glory of God, and so can you. Allow God to work in you to bring out the beauty of His original creation. That is our Father God's desire.
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Very helpful and many thanks. God bless you.
