Many people carry bumper or windscreen stickers indicating they are a Christian. Some wear crosses of different forms on their clothing or person. All good and I am not going to say anything against these things. In fact once I found a nice silver fish sign to stick on the back of my car. But the big question I have is whether we (and I) are truly walking right with God and interceding and reaching out for the current lost generation. Do we truly love God and love people?
Ezekiel 9:3-4
Now the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub, where it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn at his side; and the Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”
Ezekiel sees God giving instructions to an angel to put His mark on people in Jerusalem that are truly seeking Him. The rest will suffer death. Do we have the mark of God, not just our stickers and other external markings? Or are we mark-less?
Father, let me sincerely follow after you and obey the Great Commandment and fulfill the Great Commission.
