Failure is a given. However, what you do with that experience will determine whether you build on it on get into a cycle of failures. We need to understand the deeper reasons for a failure, learn from it and do differently the next time.
Isaiah 30:1
“Woe to the rebellious children,” says the Lord,
“Who take counsel, but not of Me,
And who devise plans, but not of My Spirit,
That they may add sin to sin;
The message is clear. No Godly counsel and without the power of the Holy Spirit. The people of Israel will fail (and have failed before) if they are depending on Egypt to defend against Assyria. But the Lord is gracious. As they cry out in their adversity, God comes to thwart the plans of the adversary. He is gracious.
Isaiah 30:18
Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him.
We make mistakes all the time. Especially when it comes to doing things God's way. Adversity may come as a result. What does God do? He is gracious to deliver us.
Father, I cry out to you in the midst of my adversity. I seek your grace and mercy.
