Leadership impacts success

I truly believe that any organization or even a nation can make a comeback with new leadership. It is also possible that the existing leader goes through a personal transformation impacting the entire organization. Abijah took over from Rehoboam and changed the spiritual atmosphere of the people of Judah. The biggest test came when they needed to fight Israel.

2 Chronicles 13:3, Abijah set the battle in order with an army of valiant warriors, four hundred thousand choice men. Jeroboam also drew up in battle formation against him with eight hundred thousand choice men, mighty men of valor.

Abijah had half the numbers compared to what Jeroboam had. But, he stood firm and declared that God would give them victory. He belittled the gods that Israel now worshiped, and the quality of the priests appointed. As you read the chapter you thought Abijah is going to lose the battle. But, no! God gives the victory.

2 Chronicles 13:17, Then Abijah and his people struck them with a great slaughter; so five hundred thousand choice men of Israel fell slain.

400,000 men slaughtered 500,000 men. This can only be God. It is simply amazing. His father made some mistakes in life, but his son recovered from that and turned the nation back to God. Abijah boldly proclaimed who is their God.

2 Chronicles 13:10, But as for us, the Lord is our God, and we have not forsaken Him; and the priests who minister to the Lord are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites attend to their duties.

Father, there is no doubt in my mind whom my household and I will continue to serve.

Heavenly courage and capability

Anybody reading this belongs to the military or was in the military? I commend you if you were. Whatever reason you were part of the military, it takes great courage to perform your role. If you are protecting the sovereignty of a country and you go beyond the call of service, your work is beyond anything money can pay. Such a person that acted in this manner was Abram. Where does my help come from?

When things do not go the way you wish, you get frustrated, disappointed, or depressed. I urge you to not give up. The matter that is causing this is not worth processing in the mind or the heart. It is best to seek help. Help is best sought from family. This is God's design. But in today's world, this may not be an option for many. We need God. "Being Ready" cannot wait

Ready for the end of the world? Ready for death? I am sure many reading this are indifferent to this question. You don't care. But if you care about what you eat each day. You care about who you meet. You care about your health. And perhaps, you even care about people, your community and/or the environment. Then, you are avoiding the question about being ready for the most important event of your life, because you don't know the answer. John writes about this in Revelations. Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. The time is near! In the KJV it says, the time is at hand! The revelation given to John is difficult to completely appreciate because He is sharing God's perspective on time (from eternity to eternity). You will look good

In today's world many are not happy with how they look naturally. They do everything possible to get it "right". Some of these include almost permanent changes that affects their bodies for the rest of their lives. This includes tattoos. I am not going to saying anything about this but we need to be careful about the agenda of people that do these things. There is something better. Revelation 22:4, They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. How God's name is going to be on our foreheads, I am not sure. But it would be like wearing a uniform of an organization that you are very proud of, and want to be associated with publicly. There will also be the tree of life. There will be no more pain.
