The movement is getting famous

Peter and John are very common names in the Western world because of their strong Christian heritage. Even in Europe, where you have French, Spanish, German and other European languages, the same names exist in their respective language variations. But do you know why they are common? Why they have a Christian heritage? After Jesus had ascended and the Holy Spirit had baptized the 120 disciples, and saw 3,000 follow Jesus on that day, many things started to happen. Peter and John were the two that became quite famous, or in some eyes, infamous.

Acts 3:12
So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

Peter and John just prayed for a lame man at the entrance to the Jewish temple and he was healed. He was lame from birth but God through these apostles made him well. They went on to encourage those watching to follow Jesus. They were correcting the people's impressions that they had personal power to heal people or were some demi-gods.

Acts 3:19
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

Hence, the story behind these famous names. If you are a Peter or John, go check the bible for all that they experienced, did and said. These are fascinating men who left an incredible legacy for the world and this new movement. Even if you are not a Peter or John, check it out. Your life depends on it.

Father, thank you for the many that have gone ahead. I will follow Jesus.

Seek a good personal testimony

In the same way you can have professional wedding planners, you also have funeral planners. I know some of you who are superstitious will be saying "touch wood". Rags to riches need something else

Can the impossible become possible? I have read many stories of rags to riches and have been naturally impressed by everything that has been said. It required great persistence, hardwork, endurance and something else. That something else is what differentiates between one rags to riches story, and the many other rags to rags stories. Over 30 years ago I was contemplating my plans for the future while helping a dear Brother in the Lord do some minor repairs around the house. Nothing serious was moving in my applications for jobs in Canada or the US. At a Monday night College and Career Bible Study at Stone Church , Toronto, I got my direction through this passage and some other information God placed there that night. You will look good

In today's world many are not happy with how they look naturally. They do everything possible to get it "right". Some of these include almost permanent changes that affects their bodies for the rest of their lives. This includes tattoos. I am not going to saying anything about this but we need to be careful about the agenda of people that do these things. There is something better. Revelation 22:4, They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. How God's name is going to be on our foreheads, I am not sure. You are powerless

Years ago I watched a movie that played out the end times based on Revelations. It was quite dramatic and scary, but had a happy ending. This is what has been planned from the beginning of time. This chapter in Revelations gives a quick snapshot of the end. Revelation 20:4, And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. It did not occur to me until much later in my Christian life that there will be a thousand years when followers of Christ will reign on earth.
