I always say, I was young once. But we all know it is relative. When you are 12 in primary school you feel like you know everything, because you are the oldest in the school. This repeats in secondary school. But whatever my youth experiences were, the biggest discovery I made was that God loves me at the age of 14.
Psalms 71:5
For You are my hope, O Lord God;
You are my trust from my youth.
This discovery continued into the rest of my days as a youth. At the age of 17 I had an opportunity of a lifetime to richly grow in the Lord. Verse 17 aptly describes this.
Psalms 71:17
O God, You have taught me from my youth;
And to this day I declare Your wondrous works.
As a result of this I moved into a God zone space that accelerated the deepening of my relationship with God. Today, I am not old, but I have a great desire to see others have the same relationship that I have had all these years.
Psalms 71:18
Now also when I am old and grayheaded,
O God, do not forsake me,
Until I declare Your strength to this generation,
Your power to everyone who is to come.
Father, may everyone know the Father that I know.
