The cloud will lead you

I used to use a Garmin GPS. Because they were initially not available in Malaysia, I bought them in the US whenever I made a trip. But the situation started changing rapidly when smartphones came with GPS functions, and maps on them became quite accurate and real time. Now, the "cloud" tells you which way is the fastest or best route to take. The people of Israel had the best GPS with them.

Exodus 13:22, He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

God's GPS for the people of Israel was accurate and took into consideration their condition of a lack of ability to fight. Instead, they were taken the back route. Longer, but safer.

Exodus 13:17-18, Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.

There have been times in my life I wonder if there was a better way for me. My journey of faith has not been easy. Ask Lee Yen and she will tell you. There have been many challenges. But praise God He has been there through it all. Looking back I can see some of the reasons why God took me through that path. He knows best.

Father, I will look to your pillar of cloud and fire to continue guiding me.

Seek a good personal testimony

In the same way you can have professional wedding planners, you also have funeral planners. I know some of you who are superstitious will be saying "touch wood". I have written something on this before and you can read it here. Have you planned your funeral? I have not and neither did Abraham plan his wife's funeral until her death. Don't get me wrong. In today's world many are not happy with how they look naturally. They do everything possible to get it "right". Some of these include almost permanent changes that affects their bodies for the rest of their lives. This includes tattoos. I am not going to saying anything about this but we need to be careful about the agenda of people that do these things. There is something better. Revelation 22:4, They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. How God's name is going to be on our foreheads, I am not sure. He has plans to prosper you

Over 30 years ago I was contemplating my plans for the future while helping a dear Brother in the Lord do some minor repairs around the house. Nothing serious was moving in my applications for jobs in Canada or the US. At a Monday night College and Career Bible Study at Stone Church , Toronto, I got my direction through this passage and some other information God placed there that night. Can the impossible become possible? I have read many stories of rags to riches and have been naturally impressed by everything that has been said. It required great persistence, hardwork, endurance and something else. That something else is what differentiates between one rags to riches story, and the many other rags to rags stories. You are powerless

Years ago I watched a movie that played out the end times based on Revelations. It was quite dramatic and scary, but had a happy ending. This is what has been planned from the beginning of time. This chapter in Revelations gives a quick snapshot of the end. Revelation 20:4, And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. It did not occur to me until much later in my Christian life that there will be a thousand years when followers of Christ will reign on earth.
