In leadership we learn the art of delegation and work towards some methodical approach of ensuring nothing "falls through the cracks". Many people helping others to learn this concept would point towards what Jethro said to Moses.
Exodus 18:19, Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you: Stand before God for the people, so that you may bring the difficulties to God.
Jethro was amazed at what God was doing for Moses and his people. Jethro turned and worshiped God with a sacrifice.
Exodus 18:11-12, Now I know that the Lord is greater than all the gods; for in the very thing in which they behaved proudly, He was above them.” Then Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, took a burnt offering and other sacrifices to offer to God. And Aaron came with all the elders of Israel to eat bread with Moses’ father-in-law before God.
Jethro now followed God and he gave leadership advice to Moses. Most of us usually focus on the way he advised to break up the duties down to a leader for 10 persons. But we cannot miss this portion of scripture where I have repeated the preamble of Jethro's advice giving.
Exodus 18:19-20, Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you: Stand before God for the people, so that you may bring the difficulties to God. And you shall teach them the statutes and the laws, and show them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do.
Delegation is easy, but equipping them is not. They need to be equipped for the work. This is indeed a great approach.
Father, help me mediate on this so that I can borrow from it to accelerate the growth of trend benders.
