Damned if you do, and damned if you don't. That is the predicament for the people of any country when it comes to admission of non citizens with limited screening. How do you tell whether someone is of sound mind and will not create trouble when they enter your country. Leaders who take extreme measures to protect their country must be ready to have part of the population upset with them and their political future could be condemned for it. Are you in the same situation with regards to something in your personal life? No matter which way you turn you will face challenges. Well, time to take the pain now and yield good fruit in the long run. Jesus had a choice. He chose to die for our sins.
No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
He will be condemned if He chooses to save us by dying on the cross. If He does not, we are condemned for eternity. Jesus chose a course of action that would cause Him to suffer a horrible death. His choice allows us to receive salvation and peace with God. It is now up to us to receive it. Many are choosing unwisely and they will suffer great setbacks in life as a result. Either you choose destruction, or you choose life. The Jewish leaders had a hard time comprehending the great message of blessing Jesus was sharing with them. He was sharing a message of God's love and what He was going to do to demonstrate that great love.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Father, thank you for Jesus who took that difficult choice. Now, I choose to receive your salvation. I choose LIFE.
