Media has a way of distorting the news to their general bias depending on the incorporated agenda of the media entity. You can report half truths and create questions about a person's thoughts, words and actions. If the media in question has a big following, much of what is said is accepted as "gospel truth". You see this all over the world without exception. Why they do this is hard to understand from a good conscience perspective. Information and reports on Jesus' life on earth, especially during His life of ministry, is also like that.
Luke 8:11-15
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
Jesus was clearly showing how people may get the same seed but many seed will yield nothing or very little. But still others, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. Many choose to ignore the presentation of history and label Jesus as just a good man. A mere human being that spoke and encouraged good virtues. But you cannot ignore the many who have been delivered from demon possession, being raised from the dead, blood issues problems being healed, and the clear presentation of the kingdom and how it is different from our human ways. Stop and read the Bible. It gives great clarity about who Jesus really is. Don't be misled by other "media".
Luke 8:22-25
Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.” And they launched out. But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”
Father, I must always return to the Word, "the correct media", and understand what you really said about each matter of life, especially my salvation. My faith is in You!
