As part of a strategy meeting that I once attended I had to read a book entitled, "Four disciplines for execution". The four disciplines basically gives great focus on execution of steps to implement strategies excellently and effectively. First you need to determine your wildly important goals. Then what are the lead measures needed to monitor weekly that would contribute towards the wildly important goals being met. Thirdly, create a clear scorecard that gets updated weekly for all to see. And finally, create a cadence of accountability that runs at least once a week. Everything revolves what is most important. And so, what is most wildly important in the kingdom?
Luke 10:20
Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.
What is more important is that you have a relationship with God. Mark 16 gives a different flavor of the great commission where he also talks about demonstration of the power of the kingdom besides preaching about the kingdom. But this is still not the ultimate aim. The ultimate aim is to see people come to the Lord and be saved. In the process, they would love God and love people with all their heart, mind, soul and strength. This is what the Holy Spirit does. We do our part to demonstrate and present the gospel, and the Holy Spirit does the rest once the person says, yes. Once this happens, Jesus promises that you will experience new things in this verse.
Luke 10:23-24
Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see; for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it. ”
Father, I am reminded that my name is in the Book of Life and many more need to be there.
