I am restored because I am loved to bits

There are people in authority today that choose to view themselves highly and even disclaim and dishonor God. There are instances in the bible when kings have been destroyed because of their arrogance. I am not sure how God will respond in these modern times to these individuals, but He will continue to seek the good welfare of the people. Hosea the prophet demonstrated God's eternal love for mankind and here is an account of how He loves the people of Israel in spite of their rulers.

Hosea 1:10

Yet the number of the children of Israel Shall be as the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall come to pass In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ There it shall be said to them, ‘You are sons of the living God.’

This is a prophet who obeyed God and did the unconventional by demonstrating the word of the Lord through his marriage and family. In the same chapter God proclaims through Hosea that Israel (during the reign of 4 kings of Judah and 1 for Israel) will not be His people, Judah will be delivered by God, and Israel and Judah will one day be united.

I am reminded of a great conversation I had with 2 friends about how I came to the Lord from Hinduism. The core of the decision was based on the fact that I could have a personal relationship with God, experience His love, and call Him Father. The people of Israel and Judah could do the same but there was a period of moving away from God that caused issues for Israel. But there would come a time when there will be restoration. This is the same for you and me. I am restored to God!

Father, thank you for being my Father.

Seek a good personal testimony

In the same way you can have professional wedding planners, you also have funeral planners. I know some of you who are superstitious will be saying "touch wood". I have written something on this before and you can read it here. Have you planned your funeral? I have not and neither did Abraham plan his wife's funeral until her death. Don't get me wrong. Rags to riches need something else

Can the impossible become possible? I have read many stories of rags to riches and have been naturally impressed by everything that has been said. It required great persistence, hardwork, endurance and something else. That something else is what differentiates between one rags to riches story, and the many other rags to rags stories. He has plans to prosper you

Over 30 years ago I was contemplating my plans for the future while helping a dear Brother in the Lord do some minor repairs around the house. Nothing serious was moving in my applications for jobs in Canada or the US. At a Monday night College and Career Bible Study at Stone Church , Toronto, I got my direction through this passage and some other information God placed there that night. And so within a week I bought my one way ticket to Malaysia. That was a significant move for me as a 23 year old. You will look good

In today's world many are not happy with how they look naturally. They do everything possible to get it "right". Some of these include almost permanent changes that affects their bodies for the rest of their lives. This includes tattoos. I am not going to saying anything about this but we need to be careful about the agenda of people that do these things. There is something better. Revelation 22:4, They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. How God's name is going to be on our foreheads, I am not sure. But it would be like wearing a uniform of an organization that you are very proud of, and want to be associated with publicly. There will also be the tree of life. There will be no more pain. You are powerless

Years ago I watched a movie that played out the end times based on Revelations. It was quite dramatic and scary, but had a happy ending. This is what has been planned from the beginning of time. This chapter in Revelations gives a quick snapshot of the end. Revelation 20:4, And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. It did not occur to me until much later in my Christian life that there will be a thousand years when followers of Christ will reign on earth.
