Time to remember that which is important

They say that as you grow older your memory slips you.  Well I suppose that you have way more to remember and it would be harder to remember everything or everyone that you have experienced in your lifetime.  I have made intentional steps to remember people's names.  This is especially important in my present work where I meet hundreds of new people each year.  Faces, pictures, names, information about them, and praying for them all helps me to remember them better.  Do you have a personal approach that works for you?  Nebuchadnezzar's son could have benefited from it.

Daniel 5:22
But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this.

How quickly has the next generation forgotten God and His workings. Nebuchadnezzar experienced God and Belshazzar his son was without excuse when he decided to use the implements of the Jewish temple to drink and worship other gods. This is truly the sad end to a great kingdom but God knew his heart. And so, Daniel was rewarded for his ability to interpret God's message in the writing on the wall.

In 2016 the US was in a significant presidential race. There was either going to be the first female or total career businessman as the next president. My take on this is that democracy has worked best when a country has a significant number of God fearing citizens. Take that away, and democracy does not work. The US is full of Belshazzar's and the writing may be on the wall unless there is a great repentance of hearts and they remember how God formed this great nation through men who followed Godly principles.

What is God writing on the wall for you? Have you learned anything from the previous generation(s)? I am a first generation Christian from a third world country, and I learned that my former faith does not work. Praise the Lord, I found the God of Daniel, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And I pray that my next generation do not need the writing on the wall to follow God. They can see it in how God has blessed us as a family.  Do you need a writing on the wall? Father, I pray that the generations to come of the Sreedhar Family will maintain their covenant abiding relationship with You.

Heavenly courage and capability

Anybody reading this belongs to the military or was in the military? I commend you if you were. Whatever reason you were part of the military, it takes great courage to perform your role. If you are protecting the sovereignty of a country and you go beyond the call of service, your work is beyond anything money can pay. Such a person that acted in this manner was Abram. Where does my help come from?

When things do not go the way you wish, you get frustrated, disappointed, or depressed.  I urge you to not give up.  The matter that is causing this is not worth processing in the mind or the heart.  It is best to seek help. Help is best sought from family.  This is God's design.  But in today's world, this may not be an option for many.  We need God. "Being Ready" cannot wait

Ready for the end of the world? Ready for death? I am sure many reading this are indifferent to this question. You don't care. But if you care about what you eat each day. You care about who you meet. You care about your health. And perhaps, you even care about people, your community and/or the environment. Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. You will look good

In today's world many are not happy with how they look naturally. They do everything possible to get it "right". Some of these include almost permanent changes that affects their bodies for the rest of their lives. This includes tattoos. I am not going to saying anything about this but we need to be careful about the agenda of people that do these things. There is something better. Revelation 22:4, They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. How God's name is going to be on our foreheads, I am not sure. But it would be like wearing a uniform of an organization that you are very proud of, and want to be associated with publicly. There will also be the tree of life. There will be no more pain.
