Did you wake up on the right side of the bed this morning? What did your spouse say? What did your boss or coworker say? What did your friends say? If you woke up with God first, I guarantee you your countenance would be very different. That is what most faiths do. They recognize the greatness of God and the need to meet with Him first in the morning.
The sacrifices that Moses was instructed to share with the people of Israel was a reminder of the greatness of God. To further remind them of this, they are told not to eat the fat and the blood of the sacrifice.
Leviticus 7:25, For whoever eats the fat of the animal of which men offer an offering made by fire to the Lord, the person who eats it shall be cut off from his people.
The person who founded the Muslim faith found the practices of the Jews and the Christians fascinating and brought them to his own idol worshipping people. He refers to the Jews and Christians as the people of the book, because there was much focus on what the Word said for their everyday living. He honored them and recognized Abraham's sacrifice on Mount Moriah. But we have Jesus.
The fat and the blood belong to God. Shaman priests may think they are God because of the spirits that possess them, but they are not. There are many things today that deceive us and turn us away from God's clear plan of salvation. Everyone is seeking God and Jesus says I am the way the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except by me.
What do you seek? Seek the perfect sacrifice. Father, you desire that all men be saved. Thank you so much.
