One of our homes is in New Zealand where the number of sheep out number humans multiple times. New Zealand lamb is world famous and continues to fetch a premium in supermarkets and restaurants. But what is less known about the lamb is its significance for spiritual sacrifice in not only the Hebrew culture but the Chinese. Read this web page for more information on this.
This chapter in revelations introduces us to the lamb in the throne. The lamb is symbolic of Jesus the perfect sacrifice for mankind. No one else is able to make this perfect except for God himself. The Chinese understood that, and they may have been the wise men of the East who came to worship Jesus after His birth. Given the infrastructure of the day, they could have used the Silk Road and saw the birth coming based on revelation given to them by God. If you are Chinese, you have no excuse to reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These wise men should have brought the news of their successful trip back to China unless something happened to them on the way back.
Revelation 5:13,
And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!”
We live in interesting times when much information is available to us at the click of a button. What I have to write can only be mentioning the obvious. It is time for all of us to worship God.
Father, the message is clear and I pray that I will be a good messenger.
