Have you played bible trivia before? It is quite interesting to get into biblical history that reveals details that we never think about. Sometimes these truths give us some background information that sheds light on the actual situation of the day. As I read today's chapter I see an interesting man.
2 Chronicles 26:15, And he made devices in Jerusalem, invented by skillful men, to be on the towers and the corners, to shoot arrows and large stones. So his fame spread far and wide, for he was marvelously helped till he became strong.
King Uzziah is an inventor, a businessman, a war strategist, a man devoted to God, but also a man of arrogance. He is the only known king in the bible (to me) that died a leper. His leprosy was self induced. He knew pretty well that only the priests can enter the temple to offer incense. His pride got in the way. He became king at the age of 16. He had great accomplishments, but his pride got in the way. So much to learn from his success and failure.
Father, help me remain in humble walk with you.
