He is GOOD

Are you good? Please be truthful! We have failed in one way or another through our acts of commission or omission. The people can best pick us out are those closest to us. In my case, my wife! Nothing beats me worse than my wife pointing out the obvious wrong in my thoughts, words or actions. She is GOOD! I know it is wrong, and she is my external conscience besides my internal God given conscience. People of Israel had the benefit of God continually pointing out things there were doing wrong. God is GOOD!

Jeremiah 3:12-13

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say:

‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord;

‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you.

For I am merciful,’ says the Lord;

‘I will not remain angry forever.

Only acknowledge your iniquity,

That you have transgressed against the Lord your God,

And have scattered your charms

To alien deities under every green tree,

And you have not obeyed My voice,’ says the Lord.

Jeremiah in King Josiah's days speaks very clearly with reference to Israel and Judah separately. Both have sinned and worshiped other gods. These are gods placed under trees and on hilltops made from stone, metal or wood. In the Malaysian landscape this would be a familiar thing. I suppose we all have the same ancestry and there would be similar doings, or should I say, failings.

God goes to great lengths to explain their unfaithfulness. And how this has led to greater calamity for them. This separation from Him is showing great issues. The chapter ends with a prayer of repentance or acknowledgement of sin that all of us can repeat. It says, "Let us lie down in our shame, and let our dishonor cover us. For we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and we have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.”

Father, I will never be drawn to my old ways for I have experienced You and You are good.

In the same way you can have professional wedding planners, you also have funeral planners. I know some of you who are superstitious will be saying "touch wood". Can the impossible become possible? I have read many stories of rags to riches and have been naturally impressed by everything that has been said. It required great persistence, hardwork, endurance and something else. That something else is what differentiates between one rags to riches story, and the many other rags to rags stories. He has plans to prosper you

Over 30 years ago I was contemplating my plans for the future while helping a dear Brother in the Lord do some minor repairs around the house. Nothing serious was moving in my applications for jobs in Canada or the US. You will look good

In today's world many are not happy with how they look naturally. They do everything possible to get it "right". Some of these include almost permanent changes that affects their bodies for the rest of their lives. This includes tattoos. I am not going to saying anything about this but we need to be careful about the agenda of people that do these things. There is something better. Revelation 22:4, They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. How God's name is going to be on our foreheads, I am not sure. But it would be like wearing a uniform of an organization that you are very proud of, and want to be associated with publicly. There will also be the tree of life. There will be no more pain. You are powerless

Years ago I watched a movie that played out the end times based on Revelations. It was quite dramatic and scary, but had a happy ending. This is what has been planned from the beginning of time. This chapter in Revelations gives a quick snapshot of the end. Revelation 20:4, And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. It did not occur to me until much later in my Christian life that there will be a thousand years when followers of Christ will reign on earth.
