Are you ready for the unexpected? You usually do everything possible to mitigate the situation, and sit waiting with anxious thoughts hoping for the best. Through the years of dealing with difficult situations I have learned to pray this prayer.
Psalms 20:1
May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;
May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;
We control very little of what happens around us. You can get very stressed thinking about it or you depend on the Lord to help you through it. I would strongly recommend the latter. Anything else shortchanges you. You are not welcoming God's interest in your personal life and well-being. Remember to turn to your Creator.
Psalms 20:7
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
Father, I will trust in You and call out to you in times of trouble.
